You find the fault in the Lynk & Co 01 that someone else can't. Diagnostic work on hybrid and electric cars in Lijnden, with APK training included.

What you’ll be doing

A Lynk & Co 01 comes in with a warning that keeps coming back and disappearing again. The previous repair didn’t help, so it ends up with you. You read out the systems, lay the wiring diagram next to it and find the bad connection in the wiring. In Lijnden you do this with 18 colleagues, who come to you when they can’t figure it out themselves.

• You are the diagnostic expert of the workshop: when the technology gets tricky, the car comes to you
• You analyse fault codes and look for the cause in the on-board computer, sensors and wiring, from petrol to fully electric
• You carry out software updates, coding procedures and calibrations, so all systems work together properly again
• You work with factory information and wiring diagrams and record your findings in clear reports
• With a tricky technical question you join the customer conversation and explain what is going on
• You also carry out APK inspections. Not an inspector yet? Then you do the training at the employer’s expense

What we’re looking for

• You have an MBO level 4 diploma as a technical specialist, or an MBO level 3 diploma as a senior car mechanic plus brand or diagnostic courses
• You have experience as a technical specialist or diagnostic technician. Are you an experienced senior car mechanic who wants to move into diagnostics? You are welcome too
• You speak Dutch and English, because a lot of technical documentation is only available in English
• You have a driving licence
• You only let go of a fault once you understand where it comes from, and you work in a structured and accurate way
• APK certification is a nice bonus, but not a requirement
