Diagnostic work on Mercedes-Benz and smart in Amersfoort, in a team of 47. You solve the tricky faults, from EQA to smart #1.

What you’ll be doing

On Monday morning there is an EQA on the lift that won’t fast charge anymore. The customer has already had two appointments. You connect the diagnostic equipment, work through the fault codes and find the cause in the charging system. In Amersfoort you work with 47 colleagues, in a modern workshop set up for high voltage work.

• You take on the faults others get stuck on, on Mercedes-Benz and smart, from petrol to fully electric
• You read out systems and trace the cause in sensors, wiring and electronics
• You carry out software updates, coding procedures and calibrations after a repair or replacement
• You look for the answer in factory information and wiring diagrams and report clearly on what you have done
• You bounce ideas off colleagues in the workshop and explain technical questions to customers when needed
• You also carry out APK inspections, and the inspector training is paid for if you don’t have it yet

What we’re looking for

• An MBO level 4 diploma as a vehicle technical specialist, or an MBO level 3 diploma as a senior car mechanic with additional brand or diagnostic courses
• Experience as a technical specialist or diagnostic technician. Do you have plenty of experience as a senior car mechanic and want to develop further in diagnostics? Also welcome
• You speak Dutch and English, so you read technical documentation in English with ease
• A driving licence
• Electric vehicle technology gives you energy and you like to keep your knowledge up to date
• APK certification is a plus

• Salary between €3,200 and €5,000 gross per month, depending on your experience
• 38 hours per week, with room to talk about 32 or 36 hours if that fits your life better
