Car Mechanic Mercedes-Benz and smart in Amersfoort

In Amersfoort you work on Mercedes-Benz, smart and commercial vehicles, in a team of 47 where you can grow into senior mechanic or technical specialist.

What you’ll be doing

At eight o’clock a GLC rolls in for maintenance, after lunch there is a Sprinter with a fault in the workshop. In Amersfoort you work with 47 colleagues on Mercedes-Benz passenger cars and commercial vehicles and on smart.

• No two days are the same: one time you change automatic transmission fluid, the next you replace a cylinder head.
• You track down faults with modern testing equipment and usually solve them yourself.
• As a senior car mechanic you take on the more complex repairs and let colleagues look over your shoulder.
• You see a clear next step: growing into a technical specialist, the diagnostic expert of the workshop.
• Not APK certified yet? You do the training through the employer.

What we’re looking for

• You have an MBO diploma in automotive technology, level 2 or higher. With level 3 you start as a senior car mechanic.
• You have a driving licence B and speak good Dutch or English. That last part matters for safety on the workshop floor.
• You see what needs to be done and dig into a technical problem until you find the cause.
• You work accurately, on your own or together with colleagues.
• Do you speak English better than Dutch, or are you not yet APK certified? You are still welcome.

What you get

• Salary between €2,800 and €4,000 gross per month, depending on your experience
• You have a say in your working hours and schedule, so your work fits the rest of your week.
• 38 hours per week, with 32 or 36 hours open for discussion.
• 24 days of holiday with a full time job. Want more time off? You can buy 64 extra hours of leave every year.
• You follow training at brand importers and technical schools, and get your APK certification through the employer.
