Volvo in Leiderdorp: hybrid XC60s and electric EX30s, training at the importer and an employer who works with you on your schedule.

What you’ll be doing

The day starts with an XC60 showing a warning about the hybrid system. You connect the testing equipment and have found the cause before the coffee break. In Leiderdorp you work with 21 colleagues on Volvo passenger cars.

• You carry out maintenance and repairs on Volvos with petrol, hybrid and electric drivetrains.
• You track down faults and solve them yourself. If that doesn’t work, you figure it out together with the diagnostic technician.
• You get Volvos ready for delivery, so the customer picks up a car that needs nothing more.
• As a senior car mechanic you take on the more complex repairs and teach colleagues what you know.
• You get your APK certification through the employer, if you don’t have it yet.

What we’re looking for

• You have an MBO diploma in automotive technology, level 2 or higher. With level 3 you start as a senior car mechanic.
• You have a driving licence B and speak good Dutch or English. That last part matters for safety on the workshop floor.
• You see what needs to be done and dig into a technical problem until you find the cause.
• You work accurately, on your own or together with colleagues.
• Do you speak English better than Dutch, or are you not yet APK certified? You are still welcome.

What you get

• Salary between €2,800 and €4,000 gross per month, depending on your experience
• You have a say in your working hours and schedule, so your work fits the rest of your week.
• 40 hours per week, with 32 or 36 hours open for discussion.

• You follow training at brand importers and technical schools, and get your APK certification through the employer.
