In Almere you work on Mercedes-Benz passenger cars, commercial vehicles and smart, with a diagnostic technician to help when a fault is stubborn.

What you’ll be doing

A Vito is on the lift for a major service, and next to it a smart #1 is waiting for a software update. In Almere you alternate Mercedes-Benz passenger cars and commercial vehicles with smart, together with 22 colleagues who enjoy working on cars just as much as you do.

• You carry out maintenance, repairs and modifications, from changing automatic transmission fluid to replacing a cylinder head.
• With modern testing equipment you diagnose and solve most faults yourself.
• If you get stuck, the diagnostic technician looks at it with you. That way you learn from every tricky job.
• You get new and used cars ready for delivery, so they leave the showroom in perfect condition.
• You carry out APK inspections, or you get your certification through the employer.

What we’re looking for

• You have at least an MBO level 2 diploma in automotive technology. With an MBO level 3 diploma you start as a senior car mechanic and take on the more complex repairs.
• You speak good Dutch or English, so you can work together safely in the workshop.
• You have a driving licence.
• You only let go of a fault once it is really solved, and you work carefully with an eye for detail.
• You work just as easily on your own as together with a colleague.
• APK certification is a nice bonus. Don’t have it yet, or just out of school with your MBO level 2? You are just as welcome.

What you get

• Salary between €2,800 and €4,000 gross per month, depending on your experience
• A job of 38 hours per week. Prefer 32 or 36 hours? We are happy to talk about it.
