What you’ll be doing

A technician is stuck on a fault in an EQE. You take a look, find the cause together and then keep an eye on the planning for the rest of the day. As working workshop foreman in Nieuwegein you’re the right hand of the workshop manager. The manager keeps the big picture, you stay close to the technicians, the technology and the daily work.

• You work on servicing, repairs and diagnostics yourself, especially when it becomes a puzzle
• You help colleagues move forward with practical tips and bring calm and clarity to the floor
• If the planning, parts supply or a customer appointment gets stuck, you spot it in time and coordinate with the workshop manager, service advisors or the parts department
• You check work orders, time registration and final inspections, so repairs are done right and comebacks are avoided
• You help build a safe, well-organised workshop that works to the manufacturer’s standards

What we’re looking for

• You have a completed vocational qualification in automotive technology, preferably at senior technician or technical specialist level
• You have solid experience in a dealer workshop and know servicing, diagnostics, EV and hybrid technology and modern vehicle systems
• You have coached colleagues, or you’re an experienced senior technician or technical specialist ready for more responsibility
• You work accurately and pay attention to safety, quality, progress and time registration
• You communicate clearly and make practical decisions on the floor
• An MOT inspection qualification or extra brand, diagnostic or EV training is a plus
