EV Technician / Automotive Technician BYD in Amsterdam

Specialise in electric BYDs in Amsterdam, with 104 ADV hours per year at 40 hours. Even if you are still building up EV experience.

What you’ll be doing

A BYD Dolphin comes in for an update and a question from the customer about charging behaviour. You carry out the update, test the car and explain to the customer what you did. After that, you help a less experienced colleague with a fault on a Seal U plug-in hybrid. That is how you work every day with technology that has barely reached many garages yet.

• You carry out maintenance, repairs and diagnoses on electric and plug-in hybrid BYDs
• You work with the latest software, diagnostic tools and vehicle technology
• You carry out updates and technical improvements
• You guide less experienced colleagues and advise customers on maintenance
• You help think about improvements in the workshop and the service processes

What we’re looking for

• You have completed an Automotive Technician course at level 2, 3 or 4
• You have experience as a car mechanic or automotive technician and with carrying out diagnoses
• You have a category B driving licence and speak good Dutch
• You are interested in electric vehicles and work proactively and in a customer focused way
• English is a plus. Already experienced with EVs, or want to specialise in them? Both welcome

What you get

• Salary between €3,200 and €5,000 gross per month, depending on your experience
• A salary based on 38 hours. At 40 hours you choose: build up 104 ADV hours per year or have them paid out
• 24 days of holiday and the option to buy two weeks extra
• 8% holiday pay, paid out every month
• Pension through BPF Metaal & Techniek, of which the employer pays 17.7% and you pay 10.28%
• €0.23 per kilometre by car or €0.30 per kilometre by bike
