Four brands in one workshop in Groningen: you work on Citroën, Fiat, Opel and Peugeot and keep learning through importer training.

What you’ll be doing

A Peugeot 2008 in for a major service, an Opel Corsa with an electronics fault and then a Citroën C4 that needs to be ready for delivery. With four brands under one roof you get to know a wide range of technology. In Groningen you work with 39 colleagues.

• You work on Citroëns, Fiats, Opels and Peugeots, from a minor service to a major repair
• You diagnose with modern testing equipment and solve most faults yourself
• If you get stuck, the diagnostic technician thinks along with you, so you learn something from every fault
• You get new and used cars ready for delivery, so they go to the customer without any defects
• You grow: from car mechanic to senior car mechanic and on to technical specialist, the diagnostic expert of the workshop
• You carry out APK inspections, or you get that certification through training from the employer

What we’re looking for

• You have at least an MBO level 2 diploma in automotive technology. With MBO level 3 you can start straight away as a senior car mechanic
• You speak good Dutch or English, because that matters for safety in the workshop
• You have a driving licence
• You see what needs to be done, only let go of a technical problem once it is really solved and work carefully
• You are just as happy working independently as together with colleagues. Not APK certified yet? You are just as welcome

What you get

• Salary between €2,800 and €4,000 gross per month, depending on your experience
• You have a say in your working hours and schedule, so work and private life go well together
• Full time is 38 hours, but 32 or 36 hours is also open for discussion
• 24 days of holiday when working full time and the option to buy 64 extra hours of leave every year
• You follow training at brand importers or technical schools that match your role
