Senior Car Mechanic BYD in Eindhoven

Work on electric BYDs and plug-in hybrids in Eindhoven, with EV focused training and a €0.30 cycling allowance per kilometre.

What you’ll be doing

A BYD Seal comes in for a software update and a complaint about charging. You connect the diagnostic equipment, carry out the update and then check that everything is right again. A little later you help a colleague with a fault on an Atto 3. With a brand that innovates this fast, you learn something new every week.

• You independently carry out maintenance and repairs on electric and plug-in hybrid BYDs
• You track down faults with modern diagnostic equipment and fix them skilfully
• You carry out software updates and technical modifications, work you rarely see at many dealers
• You are the technical go-to person for colleagues in the workshop
• You check every car for quality and safety before it goes back to the customer

What we’re looking for

• You have completed a course as Senior Automotive Technician or equivalent, level 3 or 4
• You have several years of work experience as a car mechanic or automotive technician
• You have a category B driving licence and speak good Dutch
• You have an affinity with electric vehicles and work independently and proactively
• Experience with diagnostics is a plus. Not much EV experience yet? With interest and the training you will get there too

What you get

• Salary between €2,800 and €4,500 gross per month, depending on your experience
• Work 38 or 40 hours. At 40 hours you build up ADV or have it paid out
• 24 days of holiday on a full time basis, with the option to buy extra days off
• 8% holiday pay, paid out every month

• Travel expenses of €0.23 per kilometre by car or €0.30 per kilometre by bike
