Work on electric BYDs such as the Atto 3 and Seal in Rotterdam and become an EV specialist, even if you have not done much with electric driving yet.
What you’ll be doing
A BYD Seal is in the workshop for a software update and the owner of an Atto 3 drops by with a warning he does not understand. You carry out the update, make the diagnosis and explain to the customer what was going on. At the BYD location in Rotterdam you work on electric and plug-in hybrid cars every day.
- You carry out maintenance and repairs on BYD models, electric and plug-in hybrid.
- You carry out diagnoses and solve faults with up to date software and diagnostic tools.
- You carry out updates and technical improvements, the work that comes with electric driving.
- You guide less experienced colleagues and pass on your knowledge.
- You advise customers and help think about improvements in the workshop and the service.
What we’re looking for
- You have completed an Automotive Technician course at level 2, 3 or 4.
- You have experience as a car mechanic or automotive technician, including diagnoses and faults.
- You have a category B driving licence and speak good Dutch. English is a plus.
- You are interested in electric cars and sustainable mobility.
- You are proactive and customer focused. No experience with EVs yet? Also welcome, as long as you want to specialise in them.
What you get
- Salary between €2,800 and €4,000 gross per month, depending on your experience
- Your salary is based on 38 hours. At 40 hours you choose: build up 104 ADV hours per year or have them paid out.
- 24 days of holiday, with the option to buy 2 weeks extra.
- 8% holiday pay, paid out every month.
- Pension through BPF Metaal & Techniek, of which the employer pays 17.7% and you pay 10.28%.
- Travel allowance of €0.23 per km by car and €0.30 per km by bike.
- Training through a digital learning platform, helping you develop in electric driving.
