Car Mechanic Volvo in Zaandam

In a team of 19 in Zaandam you get to know every Volvo, and you get your APK certification through the employer if you don't have it yet.

What you’ll be doing

A V60 comes in with a rattle the customer can’t place. You take it for a test drive, put it on the lift and find it. In Zaandam you work in a close-knit team of 19 colleagues on Volvo passenger cars.

• You carry out maintenance, repairs and modifications across the whole Volvo range, from the V60 to the EX90.
• You work with modern testing equipment and good tools.
• In a small team you quickly get responsibility and see what your work achieves.
• You get new and used cars ready for delivery.
• You grow into a senior car mechanic and can then become a technical specialist.

What we’re looking for

• At least an MBO level 2 diploma in automotive technology. With MBO level 3 you start as a senior car mechanic.
• You speak good Dutch or English. Your colleagues need to understand you well in the workshop, for everyone’s safety.
• You have a driving licence.
• You are precise, see what needs doing and enjoy solving a problem properly.
• You are just as happy doing a job on your own as calling in a colleague.
• APK certified? That is a plus. Just finished your training? Your colleagues will help you get started.

What you get

• Salary between €2,800 and €4,000 gross per month, depending on your experience
• You develop through training at the brand importer or a technical school, so you keep up with every new technology.
• A 40 hour work week. Prefer 32 or 36 hours? We are happy to discuss it.
• 24 days of holiday when working full time, with the option to buy 64 extra hours of leave every year.
